I only just started listening but I’m enjoying the podcast a lot. I was just watching a vintage Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries episode circa 1978 and they were talking about a “second story man” a term I’d only heard used on the last smodcast!

I was disappointed when I found out it was Bryan Johnson on mic, but it was still hilarious. I was crying and couldn’t breathe listening to the London story followed by Dracula’s broken bottle incident. Great stuff.
I was hoping Mos’ recorded a couple before the Vietnam trip. Oh well, no real complaints here. Maybe we’ll get a Rogen SMod out of it.

Remember a few SMods back when Kevin and Scott were talking about naming a kid Adolf in an attempt to take the name back. Well, check out this news story.
From MSNBC News:
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Three New Jersey siblings whose names have Nazi connotations have been placed in the custody of the state, police said Wednesday.
Holland Township Police Sgt. John Harris said workers from the state Division of Youth and Family Services removed 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell and his younger sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, from their home Tuesday.
Harris said family services did not tell police the reason the children were removed. Agency spokeswoman Kate Bernyk said it does not comment on specific cases.
The children and their parents, Heath and Deborah Campbell, received attention last month when a supermarket bakery refused to put Adolf Hitler Campbell’s name on a birthday cake.

After you mentioned snakes on a plane, I thought about how when that movie came out, we went and bought rubber snakes and threw the snakes at the screen every time a snake attack occurred. Some guy behind us flipped us off and Threatened to kick our asses.

Awesome smodcast as always. Anyone else though get very very slow downloads (10k) compared to the usual (600k+)?
Hey Mike, I figure they cant.
First off compressing MP3 files wont work too well. Second and more important, compressed MP3 files can’t be (easily) streamed.
and your offer to do it for them is really ridiculous. Uncompressed 60mb mp3 are too much for you, yet you would be willing to receive this 60mb mp3 file, compress it and upload the 55mb zip (with the compressed mp3) back again. I hope you realise that

I like Bryan Johnson but I miss Walt. I miss Mosier too but just Kevin and Bryan is missing a little something: a cackle coming from one of the more entertaining guys I’ve ever listened to.
Slow download? Not really. Took about 10 seconds.
And I think Mike may have a problem with 60MB for the same reason I do: I’m running out of room on my iPod. But I like to keep all of the SMods on demand so I don’t want to take them off, even temporarily. I’m not going to complain about the size though; I get that having an hour long MP3 will translate to 60MB.

So, now that their movie has tanked, the director Kevin Smith and producer Scott Mosier are suddenly back with several episodes of this explicit humor podcast. In the first one they riff on Christmas and how people have trouble remembering their movies. “Making moves only seen in Belize.” In “Way of the Master,” they discuss the sexual possibilities and risks of staying abroad in youth hostels. The title refers to Kirk Cameron’s Christian evangelical Web site, “The Way of the Master,” which has a test of how good a person you are. Kevin and Scott take the test, and the discussion gets mighty dark. They also brainstorm a science fiction, the “slaptrack,” in which everyone has the godlike power — once — to banish another person from this reality. And it’s pretty weird. For the most recent, third episode, Mosier is traveling in Vietnam, so Smith is joined by another pal, and they spend a lot of time ragging on a third friend who isn’t there and talking about breasts. As always, I enjoy the background soundtrack that is added post-production. I skipped two earlier episodes that were basically the DVD discussion tracks for the film, which I haven’t seen yet.
