Week of March 13, 2006

You can take "The Peacemaker," "Deep Impact," and "The Tuxedo." We'll take "Gladiator," "American Beauty" and anything else that didn't suck.

Emilio's 17

Yeah, like he needed all that overpriced crap anyway...

This lawsuit's going to make 'House Party' look like 'House Party Two!'

I told you... don't call me SENIOR!!

Maybe this is all a bad dream too?

Thanks Sharon, but I think I'll wait until this one comes out on DVD (so I can freeze frame of course)

There is absolutely, positively no nepotism in Hollywood. None.

You're good, baby, I'll give you that... but me? I'm magic.

This band will go down like a lead balloon

Well, Goodbye there Children...

They can't sell the Capitol Records building! What will be left to destroy in the next crappy 'end of the world' movie?

Same old Courtney - still sponging off Kurt

Panic on the streets of Austin

You're a fat, Botox faced, wig-wearing ninny! Oh yeah? Well your band has a dirty H addict as a lead singer!

MOVIE POOP SHOOT’S "WIN, FATASS, WIN!" CONTEST

October 3, 2005

In 1995 Kevin Smith released his second feature film to lackluster reviews and a drubbing by the movie critics that no man deserved, only to later find that MALLRATS was a huge fan favorite when it was released on home video. To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the theatrical release of Mallrats, we've decided to release a jam-packed 10th anniversary DVD featuring an all-new recut Extended Edition of the movie.

Ryall here. That's the official word at View Askew about the recent MALLRATS X release. But there's another word to use in regards to the new MALLRATS X Anniversary Edition DVD:

"Free" At least, for five of you. And beyond just offering up free copies of the disc, there's a little added bonus for those of you who couldn't attend the MALLRATS DVD release party/Secret Stash LA anniversary a couple weeks ago:

All five copies of the DVD have been signed by Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Scott Mosier, Renee Humphries and Ethan Suplee

So, how do you win? Read on...

TO ENTER

Simply do this:

  • Send me an e-mail with the subject MALLRATS CONTEST
  • In the body of the e-mail, answer this question: What is the 3D image that Willam tries so desperately to see throughout the movie?
  • Also provide your name and mailing address
  • Hit "Send"

    THE PRIZE

FIVE winners, chosen at random from among the respondants who answer the above question correctly, will receive a signed MALLRATS X DVD with the following features:

    SIDE 1

    THEATRICAL CUT
    ORIGINAL ON SET CAST INTERVIEWS
A BRIEF Q&A WITH KEVIN SMITH
THE ERECTION OF AN EPIC - THE MAKING OF MALLRATS
    BLOOPERS
VIEW ASKEW'S LOOK BACK AT MALLRATS
    FEATURE COMMENTARY
    THEATRICAL TRAILER
THE GOOPS "BUILD ME UP BUTTERCUP"

    SIDE 2

    KEVIN AND SCOTT'S INTRODUCTION
    MALLRATS RE-CUT
    MALLRATS CAST REUNION Q&A SESSION

Those who don't win the signed disc are encouraged to check out View Askew's Secret Stash for a chance to win their own free copy signed by Kevin Smith (note: for these copies, free entries will cost $26.99).

    THE PARTICULARS

  • The contest is open to anyone in North America

    TIMING

The contest will run from Monday, October 3 through end of day Monday, October 10. Winners will be notified by the end of that same week. Losers will be forced to watch my deleted scene from JERSEY GIRL on an endless loop.
