...I guess the place is already rolling before we make the boards easier to find on Tuesday. What does everyone think of the new forums? Play around with your preferences and you can hopefully get them to display however you'd like them to look.

Mine's pink and purple and green. And I'm already spending way too much time here...but that's why I like it. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Anyway, this is my reward for reading your column...besides getting to read your column...heehee. /forums/images/icons/ooo.gif

*edit* Oh yah...how do you get the av under your name? I didn't see anything that would help me with that. Is it only for Admins? *cries*

Just got here? You must not be in that elite group. I'm not in that elite group either, but I did get to sneak into the party.

No that pic is chosen in the Member Picture part of your profile, I think under personal settings.

I changed the view of this to collapsed so that it more resembles a forum and I've started to like it.

I got some odd errors where my relatively small sig (2-3 lines) was accused of being too long, but great look all in all.

EDIT: So, I replaced my philosophical quote with a giant, keg-swinging panda.

"Member Picture" part of my profile?

Grrr, can't find Member Picture. Just a photo of Mr. Big from the Police Academy 6 poster, but I cant click on it.

What was that about a KY-based secret weapon? Shudder.

How can I be special enough to get a member picture?

Looks good. When do we start fighting?

Ryall

Flame wars, the kids call it now...those wacky kids. And we're going to start fighting as soon as I find the right emoticon to truly express what I'm feeling.

We disabled that feature -- not so me and Ming can feel special, but to help load times for people. But we're gonna try it and see what happens, so check back soon. And people's faces better be the only body parts we see posted...

It IS nice to still see you around here. I know Steve-Dave's registered again, too, but haven't seen him yet. Just keep your Camel Toe away from here!

(I think very few people will know how to take that last comment...)

I took that comment straight to heart Mister! No soup for you! :P

Cool to see the new boards up and running like butter.

Hey, I got a nice, bite-size keg-swinging panda that would fit perfectly under my name (it's my friend's buddy icon), and take up a whole lot less bandwith than the sig. To counter bandwidth concerns you could curtail the size of sig pics, but see what's used/abused/complained about before such drastic action.

Oh, and Camel Toe can be the poopshoot codeword for "BAN THIS F-KER," you really gave that guy far too many chances. I think the boards can work with a strong, facist-handed approach to dealing with spammers.

So far so good! I came in for the music, but I really like the beernuts and dense green fog rising from the urinal cakes. I'm staying!

I see it, but I'm not sure I believe it...You are a truly brave man, Chris...

Happy Belated Birthday, BTW. You going to be at the ArcLight? Just asking so that I can prepare the singing, candles and cake!

And here we are, a full day in not one incident yet. Niiiice.

The midnight DOGMA show? Probably not, but that crowd will no doubt appreciate the cake and singing, anyway. Especially if you sing the Mooby song.

And actually, it's not belated, the day is actually Wednesday. But thanks just the same!

I thought he was like The Candyman. If you say his name three times in a thread he reappears.

So when can we start complaining that Chris is in bed with Marvel/DC/WB/Sony/Fox...etc.? Can we all start arguing about casting of comic book movies now or should we wait a little bit?

Ryall
04-02-2003, 07:34 PM
Well, if I ever AM in bed with any of those folks, I'll tell you myself...hell, I'll have a Web cam in the studio bedrooms...

But you're welcome to advance any such theories, sure. Same with any casting suggestions...what about Movie Poop Shoot: The Movie?

I think this forum rocks. So hard. Much harder than the previous incarnation, imo. Much more streamlined and simpler.

I dunno what to say or feel at this time, and though I am quoting neon genesis, I really don't /forums/images/icons/confused.gif so I'll just say

American pie's Jim, He Saw, he came, he came again, and did not conquer Nadia.

This is the oldest thread I can bump, oddly enough; the other ones that are from 1969 are not available to post in (sigh)…

I am on board with JK to bump every old thread.
