Maybe not my FAVORITE, but a damn good one was Frailty. Saw some of it, but nowhere near all of it. Wowza.

It's always hard to pick an outright favourite
But Swingers is fantastic on so many levels
And the best part is, even your girlfriend will enjoy it

...or boyfriend... whatever lights your candle... /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Fight Club would be my favorite.

But in second I'd have to put Arlington Road. It had a very 'Conspiracy Theory' feel to it but ended with an awesome twist that was cool even if you saw it coming.

I gotta say Fight Club! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I won't call it my all-time favorite, but I have watched Donnie Darko twice this week.

You sure do like that Jake Gelle...gelly...oh [censored] it, that Jake guy, don't you?

I'm really digging Zero Effect. I never liked Bill Pullman until this movie. The ending is really good, and it's fun to watch over again.

Well, I know it wasn't the point, but my favorire movie ever is Dogma. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

If I had to choose a movie out of KS world... Hum, that's difficult. Maybe Mr Smith goes to Washington, or Much ado about nothing

It seems that some people forgot to read my whole post:
"Lets do favorite movie...with a twist or a trick."
There is not a twist in Swingers! /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

Okay a few with twists I like have to be The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, usually films with a good twist are the ones you watch again after to see if there are any clues towards the final twist, or just to see how it all works out.

*gasp* /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif
You dare call the ending to Swinger's a non-twist.
Ok, maybe it's not much of a twist
but I still consider the idea that a movie, about a guy pining for his lost love which doesnt end with the guy getting his lost love, out of the ordinary.
Yeah sure, I can understand it not being a big "wow, I didnt see that coming" ending
But I find the theme more of a twist...

Interesting, but not really the type of twist that I had intended when I made the topic.

Just to get some Anime up on the wall, I'll say Ghost in the Shell. The philosophically thought-provoking concept of how existance can be defined amongst human-equivalent and superior technology, tempered with high-octane action and gratuitist nudity is my cup of tea.

Kudos to what you said about it all, but with Perfect Blue in place of GitS, twistwise its on par with Fight club (even portrayed in the same unfair visual way) but yeah GitS owns too /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Motherf-ker, I really HAVE to see Perfect Blue now.

I've heard plenty of great things and my roommate rented it, but he did it when I had a 4 page paper due the following day that I hadn't started on (to paraphrase Cartman: "God, I hope you really had a good laugh about that one... you sick bastard,"). Eh, I should have the time to watch it this weekend though (God willing, :P).

I hope that "Mo-fo" wasn't addressed to me, I havent ruined the film at all cause the ways I said its like fight club, its also not like that, but very different, anyway you'll see this weekend, trust me! if i'm wrong, may saddams hussains balls fester, drop off and promptly be delivered to me for torturous consumption /forums/images/icons/frown.gif , Only if...

Oh sorry, I was just muttering obscenities to myself out loud. I actually did see a part of it that was supposed to have ruined it for me, but I forgot what it was...

I really liked Fight Club and Zero Effect too. I saw Memento recently though, and that had a pretty disturbing twist. I honestly can't think of a favorite though.

Usual Suspects. I know after you see the end it seems so obvious, but I never saw it coming.

well it does have a very nice shot of Christian Bale without his top on *g*

but then he puts it back on and the films all downhill from there...

Had Cujo ended like the book it would be on this list. You know, with the twist endings and all.

All time favorite...Without a doubt The Godfather II. Oliver Stone's U-turn was awesome, and Quentin Tarantino's Resivoir Dogs kicked ass.

Lots of nice picks. Fight Club, Donnie Darko both excellent. Someone ruined Sixth Sense for me, so that one doesn't rate very high with me. Plus, it started this whole trend of having weird, pasty-faced kids in horror movies (The Ring, Darkness Falls, etc.)

My favorite "twist" movie has to be Unbreakable, not necessarily for the twist (which I thought was a bit of a strech), but just because I think it's the best superhero movie ever.

And let's not forget the original Psycho. The ending has become almost something of a joke, but when that first hit it was the mother of all twists.

I shouldn't be surprised no one has said The Sting yet.

My favorites are the standard twists Fight Club, Donnie Darko, and of course Mallrats...I mean did you think he would ever see the Sailboat?
