Movies: Chasing Amy and anything by Kev. Boodock fuckin' Saints. Really enthused about that movie. Manchurian Cantidate and Charade snuck up there too.

TV: Don't watch as much TV as I used to since I work evenings now. Love Craig Kilbourne, used to love the Simpsons but it's just terrible this season. Almost feels like a chore having to sit through an entire episode. Sorry, TV fails me right now. I just am not home enough to watch it.

'Charade' LOVE the original. Just saw Marky Mark's re-do today. Awful, completely bloody awful. NONE of the charm of the original. I knew Marky was no Cary Grant, but I still expected it to be better than THAT.
Sorry, still pissed.

Oh, you want Dirk Diggler to recreate the same chemestry that Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn had? Uh-Uh, honey. I'm realy dreading the releas of Truth about Charlie, because no one knows that it's a remake of an absolute perfect film. And once they hate this one, their not going to want to see Charade. I can't believe that AFI left this off their list.

Audrey Hepburn, and no, I didn't...I just didn't think it would be that bad. I like Tim Robbins usually and he was just wasted in his role as a Walter Mattau wannabe. I think he was even trying to talk like him. *pukes*

Fart. I can't believe I messed that up. Oh, I was thinking of a girl name Katherine when I wrote that, yeah that's the ticket.
Tim Robbins is in it? Andy Duphrane, yes. Nuke, yes. Walter Mathau, no. That was another thing great about that movie. Walter Mathau was always that comedic roll. Very surprise twist for him.

I know. It shocked the hell outta me the first time I saw it. *groans at the reminder of the "new" stand-off scene and runs off to kill self*

I really don't know if I want to see it. How can they remake a perfect movie? I still don't understand. They haven't tried to remake Citizen Kane. They are trying to remake Harvey, which cannot be done. Travolta is no Jimmy Stewart.
I can't wait for Harvey 2: Wabbit Season.
Crystal
03-31-2003, 04:20 AM
I've only seen parts of Harvey, I'd catch it on AMC if they'd stop showing 'Gremlins' and sh*t like that for crying out loud. John Travolta? Kill me, kill me now.
By the way, I forgot to mention, the flip side of the stupid Charlie movie has the original Charade...so if you decide to rent it despite your better judgement, fifteen minutes in you can flip it over and watch the real thing. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I was watching some crummy movies with friends last night and I was using that voice when some naked women folk appeared on the screen. "Never before has the sexual act been so crassly exploited for the big screen!" Always comes in handy.
