Djimon Hounsou (AMISTAD, GLADIATOR) has been set to star in back-to-back films: He'll join Angelina Jolie in TOMB RAIDER 2 at Paramount and will star in the DreamWorks action film BIKER BOYZ.
First Hounsou will do the Reggie Rock Bythewood-directed BOYZ, playing a veteran biker and gang leader alongside Laurence Fishburne, Orlando Jones and Derek Luke. Then, he'll join Jolie in TR2, playing a Masai warrior who helps Lara Croft on another daring mission.
Hounsou, who'll be seen this fall in the Shekhar Kapur-directed FOUR FEATHERS, recently completed a starring role in Jim Sheridan's untitled film, playing a troubled Harlem artist who befriends a couple (Samantha Morton and Paddy Considine) who emigrate from Ireland and start a Gotham theater company. He also just wrapped the indie Western BLUEBERRY, helmed by Jan Kounen. (As reported by VARIETY)
