The first-ever Perfect Pitch Contest
Often a publicist will send me a CD in advance of a show coming to the area
to
give me background on the artist they'd like covered. Sometimes I have
already
received a copy of the same CD in advance of its release for a CD review.
Thus
I have two copies of the same CD. You following me?
Recently I received an extra copy of one my favorite discs of this year,
PILOT TO GUNNER'S Get Saved. So instead of dumping it on EBay I'm
offering it up as a prize. The reader to write in why 2004 has been the best
or worst year for
music so far wins the disc. The 2nd place winner, or as I refer to it the
loser, will receive a huge amount of unwanted promo discs of bands they've
never heard of that I couldn't even fetch shipping money for on EBay.
Otherwise I continue to wait for some decent review material! There will be
talk of Of Montreal, Eyedea & Abilities and more next week.
