The Wildest Bunch: Josh Jabcuga has seen SAM PECKINPAH'S THE LEGENDARY WESTERNS COLLECTION and he was blown away! He has four box sets and he's giving them away. Read on, quick draw.
Warner Bros. has just released yet another shoot-em-up job of a box set, this time, collecting some of badass director Sam Peckinpah's finest work.
SAM PECKINPAH'S THE LEGENDARY WESTERNS COLLECTION includes: THE WILD BUNCH: THE ORIGINAL DIRECTOR'S CUT, which is a two-disc special edition and one of the most hardcore kickass movies of all time. Then there's PAT GARRETT AND BILLY THE KID, another two-disc treasure trove including the 2005 Special Edition reconstructed from Peckinpah's notes, plus the longer 1988 Turner restoration version. Also included is THE BALLAD OF CABLE HOGUE with Jason Robards, and RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY with Randolph Scott.
This box set is loaded with documentaries and commentaries, and THE WILD BUNCH is worth the price of admission alone.
